Post [Build] R/P "Pack Hunter"

First off this isnt my idea it's MrSlayers, but we've been kicking around with it in AB and PvE so we decided to see what you folks think. This was spawned since it's a pity that most rangers are regalled to Burning Arrow or Barrage wherever they go, but this works shockingly well anywhere in PvE and especially FoW with it's spike capacity toward the zombies.

R/P "Pack Hunter"
Expertise: 8+1
Beast Mastery: 10+1+1~3 (You choose between HP and BM Potency)
Spear Mastery: 12

Equipment:
Full Radiant Armor, BM Hat (as mentioned) with BM rune, Highest vigor affordable, minor expertise rune, and either 2 Attunements or 1 vitae/attunement rune.

Elemental/Furious Spear of Fortitude, +5e or 15^50 depending on your tastes
Shield of Fortitude with -2 stance. REQ DOESNT MATTER, you use it for the hp and inscription.

Dire/Elder pet.

Skills:
[skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Blazing Spear[/skill][skill]Merciless Spear[/skill][skill]Harrier's Toss[/skill][skill]Tiger's Fury[/skill][skill]Heal as One[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill][skill]Signet of Return[/skill]

*Note: The skill slots holding Blazing Spear and Signet of Return are VERY Very flexible. For replacements...
-Blazing Spear: Throw Dirt, Whilring Defense, Poisonus Bite, Disrupting Lunge, Beastial Pounce
-Signet of Return: Res Signet, Sunspear Rebirth Signet, (for AB) Run as One

Useage:
The idea of this build is to do what you always do and annoy any non-warrior class. The neat thing about this build is you get the Shortbow perks but with a shield's extra perks as well, and you get to do what very little ranger skills do and add Deep Wound as well. When you find your target, you activate Tiger's Fury and build up adrenaline, using Spear of Lightning to build up adrenaline and wear your target down. Once they hit down to less than 50% hp, unleash Merciless and Harriers for a spike effect and if they arent done yet finish them off with either Blazing or Lightning spear. Heal as One is there for a cheap but effective heal for both your pet. Signet of Return is there for a hard res.

If you can, leave some C&C since we are looking to improve this alot. I hope you enjoy this as well, it's really fun.

Just to add, when I run this build, I use

Max damage Zealous Spear (15^50) and it has a +5armor mod on it, since I'm too cheap to add anything different. I have ALWAYS run with the Zealous spear and have had wonderful energy-management with it (due to Tiger's Fury). Never tried a non-zealous but I would assume that you can't spam the attacks as well as often as I do.

I also run a +30 -5/20% shield, although I ran with a -2/+45 stance and that worked very nicely.

Builds like that have been around for ages. There was a build like that in the NF PvP preview weekend, with the exact same name. Congratulations for being months late with discovering though :P
